Lady Charity and Captain United announced for Weyburn’s 2010 Communithon


Elanne Krainyk and Tanner Russell are the Weyburn & District United Way’s 2010 Lady Charity and Captain United.

The Weyburn & District United Way has announced their 2010 charity team.

Elanne Krainyk has been named Lady Charity and Tanner Russell will be Captain United for Communithon 2010.

Krainyk is attending her final year at the Weyburn Comprehensive School (WCS). She is very active in the school as a member of SRC and the STARS Choir. She also participated as a cast member in one of last season’s musicals.

Golf is Krainyk’s passion. She works at the golf course and teaches junior lessons. This year she represented Weyburn in the 2010 SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Women's Championship in Prince Albert.

Russell is also attending Grade 12 at WCS. At school he is involved in choir and drama. Russell is also a member of track, baseball and football teams. He is very personable and outgoing and is looking forward to being Captain United this year.

Captain United and Lady Charity are available to attend fundraising events prior to Communithon. To request their attendance download the request form from the website at www.weyburnunitedway.com and submit it.

Organizers are looking for entertainers for the 2010 Communithon and volunteers can e-mail weyburn.united...@accesscomm.ca for more information.

Communithon is scheduled for October 22 and 23.
