Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Report

During July and August, the Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club meets just once a week on Wednesday evenings. During the last four weeks, the Howell Movement has been used each time.

Three and a half tables played on August 4. Anne Balzer and Marion Brown took top honours followed by Jim Brown and George Gilles who placed second.

July 28 had fewer players with only three tables playing. In first place were Jim Brown and George Gilles, while Andy Goeres and Roy Wallin placed second.

On July 21 there were four and a half tables. Barry McTaggart and Keith Eichel led in first place, Eunice and Bob Sambrook placed second edging out Andy Goeres and Margarette Bangsund who were third and Marion and Brown and Jean Knibbs came fourth.

On July 14 there were also four and a half tables. Gord Bell and Marg Stewart tied for first place with Millie Nimegeers and Keith Eichel, Jim Brown and Erskine Sandiford placing third and Roy Wallin and Carmen Vilness coming in fourth.

In September, Club play will resume on Mondays and continue on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the Wheatland Senior Centre. Anyone wanting to play Duplicate Bridge is welcome to come and enjoy an evening of Bridge.
