Metal sculptor to teach workshop in Weyburn

Saskatoon-area artist Leslie Potter displayed his metal sculptures along with his wife’s paintings during set-up of their touring exhibit, “Third Sound,” at Allie Griffin Art Gallery on August 30. The exhibit will be on display for the month of September and will feature art workshops for the public.

Metal sculptor Leslie Potter will be holding a workshop on September 11 and 12 for those interested in working with steel as an art medium.

The two-day workshop, Welded Steel Sculptural Art, will teach participants how to create a tabletop-size sculpture out of scrap metal while exploring the energy and properties of steel.

The fee for this workshop is $90.

Potter’s sculptures, along with his wife Alicia Popoff’s paintings, are currently on display at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery until the end of September.
