A Taste of Congo is a Rotary event taking place on February 23 at 6:00 p.m. at the Legion. The evening includes a meal, an African Fashion Show and music from Congo, as well as Reverend Doug Loden's report and pictures of his recent visit to Congo. Tickets are $15 and are available at Superior Office Supplies. All who are interested are most welcome to attend but tickets are only available in advance.
At present in Congo, there is a devastating epidemic killing off the banana plants, which are a significant part of the daily diet. A freewill offering will help provide teaching about an effective way to stop this disease.
