There are still tickets available for Simple Plan's concert at Spectra Place on Sunday, August 12.
The long-time Canadian pop-punk group, whose most popular songs include "Welcome to my Life," "Perfect," "I'd do Anything," "Summer Paradise" and "Untitled (How could this Happen to Me?)," will perform many of their top hits.
B.C.-based band Faber Drive will serve as the opening act. Faber Drive has opened for Simple Plan previously, and Simple Plan contributed to Faber Drive's most recent album.
As an added attraction, a total of 12 members from three local singing groups – the Estevan A Cappella Singers, the Estevan Comprehensive School (ECS) Choral Class and the ECS singing group Wired – will be joining Simple Plan onstage for one of Simple Plan's songs.
Part proceeds from the sale of tickets will be directed to the Simple Plan Foundation. The foundation, which is nearing the $1 million mark in donations, has allowed Simple Plan to assist thousands of at-risk youth who are transitioning to adulthood, as well as young people with a medical need.
