Weyburn Comp. School news

The school year has begun and school activities are off and running.

All teams - volleyball, soccer, cross-country, golf and football - have already started selection and practices.

The boys' volleyball team is hosting a 10-team tournament this weekend to kick-off their season. The senior girls' volleyball team is in Yorkton while the football team is playing their first game Septbember 8 in Estevan. The football team has joined a new league this year that includes Estevan, Yorkton, Swift Current and three teams from Moose Jaw. The South East District golf playoffs will be held on September 11.

Everyone is gearing up for the upcoming Canadian Student Leadership Conference, which will be held in Weyburn from September 25 to 29. Billets are still urgently needed, so anyone who can help should pick up billet forms from Weyburn Co-op Foods, Superior Office Supply or from the school office. They can be returned to the school or 618 Staveley Crescent.
