Premier announces 2012 recipients for public service excellence awards

Premier Brad Wall recently announced the 2012 recipients of the Premier's Award for Excellence in the Public Service.

"I want to thank our hard working public service for their innovation in improving services for Saskatchewan people," Wall said. "They contribute to our great quality of life in our province."

The Premier's Award for Excellence recognizes public service employees in three categories: Innovation, Quality Service and Leadership.

The individual and team recipients are Dr. Moira McKinnon for Leadership in Improving the Health of Saskatchewan People, the Blood Products Inventory Lean Team, the Ireland Labour Recruitment Mission Team, the Results-Based Regulation Code Secretariat Team, the Wollaston Lake Housing Project Team and the Youth Advisory Group Team.

Individuals or teams from government ministries, some Treasury Board Crown corporations, boards, commissions and agencies are eligible for nomination by the public service, stakeholder organizations, clients and the public. Selections are made by an independent committee.
