The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club's annual Christmas social with a turkey dinner followed by playing bridge was held on December 17. Five and a half tables played and finishing in first place were Gord Bell and Marg Stewart, in second were Jim Brown and George Gillies, in third were Erskine and Mildred Sandiford and in fourth were Jean Fahlman and Jean Knibbs.

In regular play, five tables played on November 19 and taking first were Barry Mactaggart and Diane Bell, placing second were Warren Betker and Andy Dumba, and tied for third were Gord Bell and Marg Stewart with Erskine and Mildred Sandiford.

November 22 had just two tables and in first place were Diane and Gord Bell followed by a tie for second between George Gillies and Andy Dumba and Warren Betker and Barry Mactaggart.

With three and a half tables playing on November 26, Jim Brown and George Gillies took top honours, Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart placed second and Bernie Collins and Gord Freeden placed third.

On November 29, with three tables playing, Jim Brown and George Gillies finished first while Isabelle Butters and Margarette Bangsund were second.

December 3 had three tables and in first place were Bernie Dufour and Marg Stewart while Jean Knibbbs and George Gillies placed second.

Four tables played on December 6 and claiming first were Barry Mactaggart and Warren Betker edging out Gord and Diane Bell who placed second, while Marion Brown and Vivian Truscott came third.

December 10 had three and a half tables and tied for first place were Erskine and Mildred Sandiford with John Whitell and Roy Wallin, while Barry Mactaggart and Marg Stewart took third.

Three and a half tables played on December 13 and Gord Bell and Marg Stewart finished first, Barry Mactaggart and Lucie Nickel were second, and tied for third were Diane Bell and Chuck Widdis with Eunice and Bob Sambrook.

December 20 had two and a half tables and Gord Bell and Marg Stewart took first while Diane Bell and Andy Dumba were second.

The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club meets Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. during the winter. All interested bridge players are welcome to come to the Weyburn Senior Centre at these times to play this format of bridge. There will be no duplicate bridge on December 24 or 29.
