WPL Centennial Reading Challenge

The Weyburn Public Library (WPL) has announced a Centennial Reading Challenge for Weyburn's Centennial year.

Starting January 1, 2013, WPL is encouraging local residents to read as many books as possible. Customers have until December 31, 2013, to read 100 books in recognition of the 100th birthday of Weyburn. Participation in this program is free of charge.

Booklets can be picked up at the library, which contain lists of books according to four age categories: Adult, Young Adult (Grades Nine to 12), Grades five to eight and Grades one to four.

Participants must read a minimum of nine Canadian books and a minimum of four Saskatchewanian books.

Prizes will be awarded during the week of January 6 to 11, 2014.
