It was a sight for Janice Bernier's eyes. She couldn't believe what she was seeing when she found out that her Western 6/49 ticket won $25,000!
Bernier bought her $5 ticket for the December 12th draw at Pharmasave in Lampman. But when she checked her numbers online at 3:00 a.m., she didn't see that one selection had matched five out of six and the Bonus to win the game's second prize! So when she took it back to the store to check, she was in for a big surprise.
"I screamed!" said Berner. "I was very excited, just shaking."
Janice plans to pay some bills and bank the rest, possibly saving some for a trip in the future. Janice's ticket shared the $50,000 prize in the category with another ticket.
