Ski trails now offered in Weyburn

To create fun opportunities for all ages to get out doors and stay active, Weyburn inMotion, with cooperation from the City of Weyburn and additional funding from Saskatchewan Lotteries and Saskatchewan inMotion, has purchased cross country ski grooming and setting equipment to create ski trails in Weyburn.

Cross country skiing is not only a fun winter activity for all ages, recent research has hailed the health and physical benefits of cross country skiing as a great way to remain active and fit during our long winters.

The public is invited to the official unveiling and 'Kick-Off' of the new Weyburn Cross Country Ski trails on February 10 at 1:30 p.m. at the Jubilee Park (Fifth Street entrance).

inMotion recognizes that Weyburn has become one of the most 'active' communities in Saskatchewan, with walkers, cyclists and runners throughout the summer. These trails and equipment, along with all the winter season benefits, will bring activity to this growing community.
