Classical jazz duo coming to Weyburn

Weyburn Concert Series, along with Prairie Debut, have announced that Chris Donnelly and Kornel Wolak will be performing at the Weyburn Comprehensive Cafetorium on February 25 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the fourth concert in the 2012-2013 series.

Armed with a piano, a clarinet, and a personable stage presence, this duo has captivated audiences with their profound passion for music. Wolak and Donnelly present a remarkable blend of classical and jazz music that includes a number of familiar favourites such as Mozart's Concerto in A Major, Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, and Osacar Pederson's classic Hymn to Freedom.

Chris Donnelly represents a new generation of jazz pianists dedicated to entertain as well as educate. He is known for his musicality and versatility and has been described as "a guy who sure knows his way around a piano".

Clarinettist Kornel Wolak is well on his way to a major career as a soloist and chamber musician and is known for his glorious tone, technical control and musical imagination.

Advance tickets for this concert can be purchased at Superior Office Products. Tickets will also be available at the door.
