Once again, Weyburn has entered the race to win $10,000 from Saskatchewan in motion.

Before March 15, everyone can do their part to help Weyburn in motion win the Community Challenge.

Less than 15% of Saskatchewan kids get the minimum 60-90 minutes of physical activity they need every day. Each person has a role to play in making physical activity the easy choice for children.

There is, after all, $10,000 on the line, which would be used to create an 'active rest spot' near the museum for families to stop and enjoy Weyburn, while at the same time getting out of the car and moving around.

This is Weyburn's chance to prove that it is the most active city in the province!

Everyone needs to be involved. That's why Weyburn in motion is counting on residents, friends, neighbours and family members to get moving. Then, record and register the minutes of physical activity every day during the challenge from March 1 to 15.

All it takes to win the Community Challenge (and $10,000) is to register more minutes of physical activity than any other Saskatchewan community.

Winning is as easy as being physically active each day between March 1 and 15 and then tracking the minutes at challenge.saskatchewaninmotion.ca.

By working together, Weyburn can earn its 'active rest spot' by logging thousands of minutes of physical activity. Communities can create healthier, more active places to live, learn, work, and play. The in motion Community Challenge is designed to get communities working together to make a positive difference and make physical activity the easy choice for children and youth.
