Weyburn Duplicate Bridge report

The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club had fewer tables playing in February but with the return of some of the snowbirds hopefully there will be more tables in March.

February 4 had three tables and placing first were Erskine and Mildred Sandiford while John Whitell and George Gillies came second.

Two tables played on February 7 and Bernie Dufour and Marg Stewart finished first and Lucie Nickel and Fred Milleker were second.

With three tables playing on February 11, John Whitell and Roy Wallin were first place finishers and Bernie Dufour and Marg Stewart came second.

On February 14 with two and a half tables, Bernie Dufour and Marg Stewart took top honours playing at 77.5 percent while Lucie Nickel and George Gillies placed second.

Three tables played on February 18 and Diane and Gord Bell finished in first place followed closely by Andy Dumba and George Gillies in second place.

With four tables playing on February 21, Gord Bell and Erskine Sandiford had a strong game finishing in first place, Jean Fahlman and Jean Knibbs placed second edging out Roy Wallin and George Gillies who were third.

The final game of the month played on February 28 had two and a half tables and Isabelle Butters and Margarette Bangsund finish on top followed by a tie for second between Andy Dumba and George Gillies, and Gord Bell and Barry Mactaggart.

The Weyburn Duplicate Bridge Club invites all bridge players to come and play duplicate bridge on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday afternoons at 1:00 p.m. during the winter at the Wheatland Senior Centre.
