Through a generous donation, the Salvation Army's meat supply has been replenished however their food bank shelves could use a little stocking.
The Postal Food Drive is set to go Saturday, September 28. Salvation Army Captain Melissa Mailman says anyone wishing to donate to the Stamp Out Hunger food drive is asked to place donations of non-perishable items, school supplies or storable garden produce so that it is visible from the street for pick up.
"We ask that people watch for expiration dates," she said.
Weyburn postal workers will begin picking up donations at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Residents with PO boxes may drop their donation off at the Post Office during regular business hours Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mailman said if anyone wishes to volunteer in sorting out donations, may do so on September 28 around 10 a.m.
