The Weyburn Gold Wings played two games over the weekend against the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats, with a 2-0 win on Saturday, October 5 and a 2-1 shoot out loss on Sunday, October 6.
"Letting in only three goals on the weekend, we played well defensively, but we need consistency with our offence," said Coach Chad Kish.
The only scoring on Friday happened in the first period. Jensen Hammer opened the scoring on a power play from Whitney Thorp earning her First Star status. The second goal by Madison Colbow came from Jenica Whitrow.
"Swift is a hard working team," said Kish.
