Weyburn Comp School news

To recognize the great accomplishments of select alumni, the Weyburn Comprehensive School is organizing the WCS Alumni Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony in late April or early May.

A date will be set in the near future that can accommodate as many as possible of the honorees. There will be a banquet, entertainment, unveiling of recognition banners and much more.

This is a time to honor a few particular former students for their achievements and possibly to make this an annual or semi-annual event to recognition alumni in all fields of endeavor.

The Weyburn Wrestling Club hosted a dual meet at WCS between the University of Regina and Dickinson College from North Dakota on November 27.

The basketball teams have been chosen and the first tournaments of the year are coming up this weekend. The senior girls are off to Estevan and the senior boys to Prince Albert for tip-off tournaments.

The north parking lot is now open for staff and visitor parking. Parents and visitors can go into the parking lot between the school and Queen Elizabeth and enter the school by a door slightly south of the north-east corner of the science wing (NOT the new main entrance into the Colleen Weimer Hall).
