Three Weyburn Synchro Stars attend Sask. Winter Games


Three Weyburn Synchro Stars senior athletes recently attended the Saskatchewan Winter Games in Prince Albert from February 16 to 19.

Jillian Harder, Savannah Pohl and Alexis Vandermey along with members from the Estevan Mermaids combined to become the SWG Southeast Connection Synchronized Swim Team.

On the first day of the games, the girls took part in the figure event. In a field of 65 athletes, Jillian placed 21st, Savannah placed 23rd and Alexis finished 39th.

Savannah and Alexis competed in the Duet Competition on day one and two and finished 6th in Flight A.

Jillian and Savannah competed in the Team Competition on days two and three.

The SEC Synchro team finished the competition with a silver medal placing.
