Nominations are now open for the Golden Spike Award presented at the Weyburn & District Chamber of Commerce 2014 Presidents Dinner will take place on Friday, March 26 at the Royal Canadian Legion.

"The Chamber will welcome The Honourable Ken Krawetz - Minister of Finance for the Province of Saskatchewan on March 26," said Chamber Manager Jeff Richards. "Minister Krawetz will be updating us on the Provincial's newly released budget for the upcoming year."

The Chamber will also install a new President at this year's Presidents Dinner.

"Rodney Gill will be sworn in as President of the Weyburn Chamber this year, as Jeff Chessall becomes our Past President," said Richards.

With the announcement of the Presidents Dinner, nominations are now open for the Chamber of Commerce's annual Golden Spike Award.

"This prestigious award is presented by the Chamber annually to someone who has made an outstanding contribution to our community through his or her services during the years preceding the date of the Award," said Richards. "This award has a rich history dating 33 years, and being nominated puts someone in very good company."

Nomination deadline is Thursday, March 20. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the Chamber website at weyburnchamber.com, or are available at the Chamber office.

Tickets for the event are available from the Chamber office, or online at www.weyburnchamber.com.
