The RSO Chamber Players are taking their show on the road to Weyburn where they will be performing a concert on Wednesday, April 9, at 7 p.m. at the T.C. Douglas Centre as part of the symphony's Music on the Road program.
Music on the Road, one of the RSO's Education & Outreach programs, brings live classical music and music education to rural communities outside of Regina. Through this year's Music on the Road program, the RSO is visiting a total of seven communities in a series of one-day events that provide local schools with a free educational concert during the day and an additional performance open to the public in the evening.
This program provides an excellent opportunity to deliver high quality music learning opportunities for rural schools, as well as allow the community a chance to experience the symphony right in their own town! This is only one aspect of the Symphony's extensive Education and Outreach programs - for more information, please visit reginasymphony.com/education.
This concert is proudly sponsored by Cenovus Energy. "Cenovus is pleased to present Regina Symphony Orchestra in Weyburn," said Leanne Courchesne, Group Lead Community Investment. "We believe in providing the opportunity for communities to enjoy performances they might not otherwise get a chance to see. We strive to be innovative in all that we do at Cenovus, including the way that we support the communities where we live and work."
The Regina Symphony Orchestra is grateful to its Music on the Road series sponsors, SaskTel, the G. Murray and Edna Forbes Foundation, and the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at reginasymphony.com, at Superior Office Products or Pharmasave.
