Galleries feature the work of local artists with gala reception

April is Local Artist Month at the local galleries.

All three galleries feature the work of local artists. A Gala Reception will be held on Friday, April 25 beginning at the Signal Hill Art Gallery at 7 p.m. with the announcement of this year's winners of the Local Adjudication, followed by an "After-Party" at the Allie Griffin Gallery beginning at 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome. Come out and support our artists!

At the Allie Griffin Art Gallery a collection of works by Terry Creurer and Heather Van der Breggen called "Inside/Outside" will be on display. They were the winners of the 2013 Local Adjudication.

At the Weyburn Credit Union Art Gallery "Community Pasture" which is a display of paintings by Bev Sobush-Melby depicting the "cowboy life" will be on display until April 31.

"ArtReach" which is the annual exhibition of local artists work for the Local Adjudication is on display until April 25 at Signal Hill Arts Gallery.

Adjudication by Leslie Potter of Saskatoon will take place on April 25 with a public reception that evening at 7 p.m. to announce the winners.
