Wheatland Senior Centre news


The Wheatland Senior Centre holds weekly activities. The following are the results of the March 30 to April 6 week.

Monday's Bridge tournament results were, in first place Chris Diemert, second was Erskine Sandiford, and third, Jim Brown.

Friday's Bridge results were John Whitell in first place, second place was Joyce Hemphill, and Basil Holyer in third place.

The Military Whist tournament results were Christine and Betty Herlick in first, second was a tie between Sue Sargent and Myrna Oxelgren, Roger and Marie Marcotte, Marg Albers and Dorothy Lacaille, Marg and Del Halbert, Doreen Leslie and Shirley Sparks.

In Hi-Lo Whist, first place was Marg Leavens and Ezella Gatzke, in second was Marion and Jim Brown, and in third place was Norma Lohse and Lorraine Tytlandsvik.

First place in Canasta was Kay Bachman, with second place to Elsie Callan, and Dorothy Cox in third.

Kaiser play saw first place go to Kay Bachman and Basil Holyer, second place to Alice Schneider and Agnes Tumback, and in third, Ella Hortness and Harry Schiller.

Thursday's Crib ended with Shelia and Dale Greiner in first, second to Joan and Bill Harder, and in third was Phyllis Lindskog and Donna Davis.

Friday's Crib tournament results were first Joan and Bill Harder, second to Roger and Marie Marcotte, and third place to Norma Lohse and Vi Paterson.

Shuffleboard's first place winners were Ray Boucher and Tom Schutz, with second place going to Doug Wilkinson and Agnes Tumback, and third place to Connie Boucher and John Tumback.

Gerry Goski will be playing the Tuesday afternoon dances on April 15 and 22.
