The Southeast Connection District Committee is providing an opportunity for individuals to express their thoughts in a short story and/or poetry in the 55+ District Games. Southeast residents, 55 years and over, can put into words their thoughts using the theme, "Pioneers of Sport".

Competitors are invited to submit one unpublished poem of 12 to 24 lines and/or an unpublished short story of 350 to 500 words. The deadline is May 9.

Registration forms and entry rules for poetry and short story are available by calling Margaret Gailing-Stepp at 306-842-4807. For information regarding other events in the 55+ District Games, you may call Agnes Pitre at 306-842-5674. Participants must purchase a SSFA membership to be eligible to compete.

The top three entries can advance to the Provincial 55+ Games held in Humboldt, July 8 to 10 for final judging. Competitors are not required to accompany their entries to the games.
