Lynn Little, the new Director of Education.

The Board of Education of the Southeast Cornerstone Public School Division has appointed Lynn Little to the position of Director of Education, with duties to commence on August 1.

In her new capacity as Director of Education, Little will be responsible for the overall health and performance of the organization, the success of its operations and strategic planning. Little will replace outgoing Director of Education, Dr. Marc Casavant.

Little has served South East Cornerstone and its environs since 1993 in various capacities including teacher, principal, superintendent of student services and curriculum, and more recently as superintendent of education.

A graduate of the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Education degree, Little furthered her academic pursuits at the University of Idaho where she earned a Master of Education degree. The 2009 recipient of the Canada's Outstanding Principals award began her teaching career at Craik School in 1986, becoming Principal of Hawarden School five years later. In 1993, Little assumed the role of Principal of Carievale School for four years, before moving to the Estevan Junior High as Principal in 1997. In 2001, she was appointed Superintendent of Student Services and Curriculum with the Weyburn Public School Division, later serving as Principal of the Pleasantdale School in 2003, and then as Superintendent of Education with the South East Cornerstone Public School Division in 2009.
