Senior Centre hosts garage sale


The Wheatland Senior Centre will be hosting a garage sale on Thursday, May 8 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Beef on a bun for $7 will be served on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday's Bridge tournament results were John Whitell in first place, Kay Bachman in second place and Marion Brown in third.

Friday's Bridge tournament first place winner was Jim Brown, with second place going to Harry Schiller and Lucie Nickel in third place.

Trump Whist ended in a first place tie between Roger Marcotte and Fred Groshong, in second place was Basil Holyer.

Hi-Lo Whist first place winners were Connie and Ray Boucher, second place to John Whitell and George Gillies and Marg Leavens and Phyllis Lindskog in third place.

Myriel Fellner placed first in Canasta, with second place to Kay Bachman and Marlene Szczecinski in third place.

The Kaiser game winners were Alice Schneider and Agnes Tumback, with Roger and Marie Marcotte in second place and Basil Holyer and Kay Bachman in third.

Thursday's Crib saw first place go to Marg Leavens and Vi Paterson, second place winners were Doug and Lona Wilkinson with Norma Lohse and Cheryl Vogel in third place.

Friday's Crib tournament ended with first place going to Bill and Joan Harder, and Vi Paterson and Norma Lohse in second place and Theresa Istace and Tom Schutz in third place.
