Crocus 80 Theatre casting calls for W.O. Mitchell production

Crocus 80 Theatre, with the permission of W.O. Mitchell Ltd., will be performing Jake and The Kid - Prairie Seasons during the Weyburn Wheat Festival (August 7, 8, 9 at 7 p.m. and August 10 at 2 p.m.)

Crocus 80 welcomes all interested, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals and youth for acting and supporting roles.

Youth theatre for ages six and up, limited spaces available (kick off for the youth already registered)

Casting calls are Tuesday, June 3, 7:00 p.m. at the Tommy Douglas Centre for five adult parts and one leading male youth.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn performing arts skills focusing on building their imagination, creativity, stage presence, self-awareness and character development. Flexible rehearsals are three times a week during the months of June, July and early August.

In partnership with the production of Jake and The Kid - Prairie Seasons, Crocus 80 Theatre will once again be offering a Youth Theatre Development Program. Crocus 80 welcomes all interested, enthusiastic and dedicated youth between the ages of six and 18 to come out and participate.

The young artists will share their work and what they have all learned during the performances of Jake and The Kid - Prairie Seasons.

Young and old alike will come together on stage to celebrate some of Weyburn's diverse and rich history during the Weyburn Wheat Festi-val in commemoration of W.O. Mitchell's 100th birthday.
