A Weyburn resident has been recognized with the College of Pharmacy, U. Of S. Centennial Alumni of Influence Award on June 28.

Kim Borschowa received the award, along with 100 other pharmacy alumni as well as 24 nutrition alumni as part of the college's centennial year. The award was presented to people who have made a significant and outstanding contribution through their endeavours.

Borschowa graduated from the Weyburn Comprehensive School in 1990 and then graduated from the College of Pharmacy, U. Of S. with a B.S.P with Distinction.

She is a member of the Rural West Primary Care Team and has been a part of an innovative and collaborative care team since 2006. She served on the Saskatchewan College of Pharmacists Council since 2009 and as president in 2012-2013.

Also, Borschowa received her Certified Diabetes Educator designation in 2010.

In 2013, Borschowa was awarded the Canadian Pharmacy Association Patient Care Achievement Award for Innovation at a ceremony in Prince Edward Island for the innovative practice that she developed as managing partner of Pharmasave in Radville.
