Weyburn senior participants win medals at 55 plus games


The Provincial 55 Plus Saskatchewan Senior Fitness Association games were held in Humboldt on July 8-10.

In the Short Story category, local participant Jean Fahlman was presented the gold medal. In Bank Shuffleboard 55 Plus, Patricia Schutz and Doreen Leslie won bronze and in 70 Plus, Roger and Marie Marcotte were presented with bronze.

Participants from the Southeast Connection District won a total of seven gold, five silver and four bronze medals.

A total of 289 participants representing various districts in Saskatchewan will be attending the Canada 55 Plus Games in Strathcona County, Alberta, from August 27-30.

Competitors from across Canada will test their skills in friendly competition with their peers.
