Deadline nears for Concert Series early bird tickets

There are only a few days left for residents to purchase an early bird season ticket for the 2017-18 Weyburn Concert Series.

There are only a few days left for residents to purchase an early bird season ticket for the 2017-18 Weyburn Concert Series. The early bird season tickets cost $110 for adults and $45 for child or student, as long as they are purchased before Wednesday, May 31. After that date, season ticket prices increase to $135 for adults and $50 for child or student.
Early bird tickets can be purchased at the Weyburn Review/Weyburn This Week office, MusicCraft, Old Fashion Foods, or from a Weyburn Concert Series board member or volunteer.
The 2017-18 season starts off with “Dreams”, the ultimate tribute to Fleetwood Mac, on Thursday, September 14. Dreams, is an authentic sounding, seven-piece tribute to Fleetwood Mac. They perform in full costumes, similar to the actual styles worn by the original Fleetwood Mac. The band of professional musicians from Vancouver, B.C., has played many shows over the last few years in casinos, theatres and events all around the world.
“Oh, Canada, We Sing for Thee”, featuring Leisa Way, will be presented on Monday, October 2. Internationally acclaimed Canadian singer Leisa Way has created magic with this concert that thrills audiences of all ages. It features a singalong to the music of Gordon Lightfoot, Anne Murray, Celine Dion, Michael Buble, Shania Twain, Stompin’ Tom Connors, Buffy Ste. Marie, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, The Guess Who, Ian & Sylvia, Don Messer, Bryan Adams, BTO and more.
“Rave On”, a Buddy Holly tribute will be featured on Thursday, November 2. Buddy Holly was a legend of rock and roll whose music touched the lives of millions of people around the world. It sparked a new genre of music that changed the entertainment industry for good. “Rave On” brings this prophet of rock music back to life in their exciting show by playing hit after hit.
Colin Mochrie and Deb McGrath will present their “One Couple Show” on Saturday, January 27, 2018. Colin Mochrie (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) and Debra McGrath (Little Mosque on the Prairie) present their acclaimed one-couple show based on their 27 years of marriage, 60 years of performing around the world and one year on Instagram.
The Hunter Brothers will perform in Weyburn on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Luke, J.J., Ty, Brock and Dusty are the epitome of Canadian country. The five brothers from Shaunavon grew up singing gospel with their family across Canada and the U.S. Since their explosive launch, the brothers have been performing live acoustic sets on radio stations and television spots, sharing their versatile harmonies and soulful sound across the country.
Finally, “Comedy in Motion” with Bob Cates will be presented on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Bob Cates is a Canadian Juggling Champion, clean comedian and physical variety artist who has delighted audiences for 20 years. He keeps the crowd laughing with fast-paced comedy routines involving advanced juggling, wild unicycling and balancing skills, plus an insane real plate-spinning finale that has to be seen to be believed.
