The Weyburn EMS is fundraising for a Lucas, which is a chest compression system that is a safe and efficient tool that standardizes chest compressions in accordance with the latest scientific guidelines. It provides the same quality for all patients and over time, independent of transport conditions, rescuer fatigue, or variability in the experience level of the caregiver. By doing this, it frees up rescuers to focus on other life-saving tasks and creates new rescue opportunities. The Weyburn EMS believes that the Lucas is very beneficial to our community, especially since we do often face longer transport times.
The Weyburn EMS is also looking for sponsors for the Halloween Carnival and Escape Room. For more information on becoming a sponsor, interested businesses can email Jennifer Elias-White at Jennifer.Elias-White@schr.sk.ca. The Weyburn EMS strives to give the best care possible to Weyburn and surrounding communities. They are continuously looking for ways to improve our quality of care and keeping up to date with new techniques and skills to better serve our community.
