The Lonely

Tickets are on sale for a spring production of “The Lonely”, a tribute to the music of the late Roy Orbison, presented by the Weyburn Rotary Club.
The show will come to Weyburn on Monday, April 10, at the Cugnet Centre.
The Weyburn Rotary Club booked the group, The Lonely, as part of their 2017 tour, after their 2016 tour played to sellout audiences in theatres and casinos across Canada.
Rotary president Pat May said after the club sponsored “Ring of Fire” and “Million Dollar Quartet”, the Rotary Club received many requests from attendees to bring in another quality tribute group.
The Lonely will share their deep love and appreciation of Roy Orbison, who is known for his distinctive impassioned vocals and complex composition in his timeless songs.
The ballads will stir the soul as they recreate the sensitivity and feelings of the original recordings. In a four-year period, Orbison had 22 songs on the Top 40 hits list as a solo artist.
Tickets are available at Music Craft, Old Fashion Foods (in the previous location of Superior Office Products downtown), or by credit card at Barber Motors at 306-842-6531.
