SGI is letting Estevan and area customers know that claims, licence issuing and driver examiner services are moving to 1210 Seventh Street in Estevan while repairs to its current facility are underway.
Estevan’s flash flooding on July 10, 2016 caused more damages to SGI’s facility than initially anticipated. While staff have been working out of the Estevan Claims Centre garage and their partner insurance broker offices temporarily, a longer-term solution is required.
A list of dates and locations for claims, licence issuing and driver examinations is below:
Licence issuing services were available at motor licence issuing offices in Estevan on July 19 to 21 or some transactions can be completed online using MySGI.
Written driver examinations are being administered at Cathedral Insurance Brokers (at 10-910 13th Ave.) and road tests are being conducted from the parking lot at the SGI facility at 1009 – 5th Street. Claims services are available by calling 1-800-667-9773.
All services in Estevan (claims, licence issuing and driver examinations) are being re-located to 1210 Seventh Street in Estevan on July 22 until SGI’s building is repaired. We will notify the public when services return to SGI’s own facility.
