A barbecue fundraiser will be held in support of the Weyburn Humane Society at North American Lumber today, August 11, during their customer appreciation day. The barbecue runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is $3 for a hotdog, chips and drink, or $5 for a burger, chips and drink. There will be a pie the staff fundraiser held at the event.
The Weyburn Humane Society is hosting a fundraising burger night at Browns Social House on Tuesday, August 15.
The Burger Night will run from 4 to 9 p.m., and will include a homemade cheeseburger with a choice of side, and a lager or soda all for $25. A silent auction will also be available on site.
The burger night is a fundraiser for a new animal shelter for the Humane Society. Tickets are available at the Weyburn Humane Society animal shelter on 16th Street, at the Co-op Expressions ladies fashion on Third Street or call or text Lisa at 306-541-9397 for tickets.
Also, the Weyburn Police Association will be hosting a golf tournament at the Weyburn Golf Club to support the Humane Society on Friday, August 18.
The tournament is open to the public. The golf tournament will be a Texas scramble style and the cost is $100 per golfer. The cost includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and supper.
