Crocus Men’s Open held at the Weyburn Golf Course

The Weyburn Golf Club held their annual Crocus Men’s Open golf tournament on August 27 and 28 with 64 men competing.

The Weyburn Golf Club held their annual Crocus Men’s Open golf tournament on August 27 and 28 with 64 men competing.
Two-day scores included: Championship flight Tanner White won first with 144; Carter Hilkewich took second with 145 and Marshal Bakken finished third with 148.
First flight winners were Brad Wallin in first with 152; Brett Paquin placed second with 158 and Brad Peiro finished third shooting a 160.
Second flight winners were Morgan Sanders in first with a 161; John Corrigan placed second with 162 and Kris Labatt placed third with 162. Third flight winners were Pat Spagrud in first with 166; Lach Reeve placed second with 166 and Dan Manning took third with 171.
Fourth flight winners were Brad Huebner in first with 176; Scott Lawrence placed second with 176 and Trent Rommann finished third with 177.
In the senior division championship flight, first went to Don Sanders scoring 155; Leonard Brock captured second scoring 166 and third went to Rick Walliser scoring 173.
First flight winners were Winston Bailey in first with 176; Jim Pennington placed second with 176 and Doug McCaw took third with 177.
Second flight winners were Darren Miller in first with 182; Brian Bakken took second with 183 and Lorne Garland finished third with 190.
Specialty prize winners on August 27 included Marc Henderson, longest drive; Brandon Giroux, closest to the pin on #7; Don Sanders, closest to the pin on #9; Ken Robertson, closest to the pin on #13; and Brandon Giroux, closest to the pin on #16.
Specialty prizes on August 28 included Anthony Melle, longest drive; Pat Spagrud, closest to the pin on #7; Darren Miller, closest to the pin on #9; Brandon Giroux, closest to the pin on #13; and Winston Bailey, closest to the pin on #16.
The winner of the 2016 Crocus Men’s Open horse race was Nolan Rohatyn.
