The Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation has donated $30,000 to the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation.
Michael Hoffman, board chair of the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation, said, “Graham was an early supporter of the WDHF and was instrumental in the success of our inaugural Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinner held in 2011.”
“During the two years that Graham was involved with the event more than $735,000 was raised. Without his support, we could not have reached this level of success.”
The Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation is focused on improving the health and wellness of children, as well as supporting the development of junior golfers at all stages. Founded in 2014, the foundation has supported and provided valuable charitable contributions to Help Fill a Dream, The Children’s Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House of Saskatchewan, Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, Golf Saskatchewan and the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation.
“Ruby and I are pleased to be able to donate these funds to assist with the development of the new hospital in Weyburn,” said Graham DeLaet.
“Growing up in Weyburn, I know what a great community we have, which can be seen in the ongoing support of the WDHF. I also know how much a new facility with state-of-the-art equipment is needed in order to keep our community healthy, so we are happy to do whatever we can to help,” said DeLaet.
The Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation, founded in 2008, continues to raise funds to meet its objective of building and equipping a new hospital for Weyburn and the surrounding area.
To date, WDHF has raised close to $22 million towards its goal of equipping a new hospital.
The hospital in Weyburn has provided over 60 years of quality health care, however, the need for a new facility containing state of the art diagnostic equipment is evident.
