Two upcoming events for members of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce will focus on politics and sports.

In the realm of politics, a Saskatchewan Party round-table discussion will be held with chamber members on Friday, June 1, starting at 11 a.m., at the Weyburn Legion Hall in the Vimy Room.

The chamber members are invited to take part in a discussion with the Sask Party caucus committee on a series of questions.

These include the following:

What provincial government red tape of specific policies or legislation creates barriers or impediments to the growth of your business?

Why did you initially invest in Saskatchewan?

Would your business or company further invest in the province? Why or why not?

How did the 2018-19 budget affect your business(es)?

The event is free to attend, but the Chamber is requesting that interested members register online at www.weyburn.chamber.com, or phone the office at 306-842-4738.

For sports fans in the chamber, the Weyburn Senior Beavers will host a Chamber Night for their home game on Wednesday, June 6 at Tom Laing Park, as the Beavers take on the Regina Red Sox. The first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.

The game is free for all chamber members, and they should register at www.weyburnchamber.com.
