Weyburn Swing for Scholarships tourney registration now open

The Southeast College is busy making preparations for its 17th annual Weyburn Swing for Scholarships Golf Tournament.

The Southeast College is busy making preparations for its 17th annual Weyburn Swing for Scholarships Golf Tournament.

"These tournaments are a really fun, easy way for the community to support this important cause," said Dave Harazny, Manager of College Advancement at Southeast College. "Because of past support, we are able to offer all Full Time students a $1,000 entrance scholarship for Fall 2015, and we would love to be able to do the same for years to come."

With an entry fee of $125, golfers will enjoy 18-holes in best-ball format at the Weyburn Golf Club, a delicious BBQ steak dinner, and tournament gift. Additional prize raffles and a 50/50 draw will be held.

Tournament sponsorship is also available, which is another great way to help out this worthy cause. All sponsorship and proceeds from the tournament are matched by the Ministry of Advanced Education's Saskatchewan Innovation & Opportunity Scholarship program.

"We continue to build success with every tournament because people have such an enjoyable time," said Harazny, adding that the tournament fills quickly, so interested golfers should register their team as early as possible.

For entry or sponsorship information, please contact Dave Harazny at (306) 848-2531 or visit southeastcollege.org.

All proceeds from the tournament help fund the Southeast College Scholarship & Bursary Program, which provides entrance scholarships to students pursuing post-secondary training at all of Southeast College's campuses.
