Prairie Greenhouse will celebrate 25 years in business. Owners Bill and Shelley Kievits and John and Bev Grigg say they own their success to their loyal customers, many of whom have become dear friends. They also acknowledge their amazing and dedicated staff.

Over the past 25 years, there have been many changes at Prairie Greenhouse. When they started the business, the facility consisted of one small growing greenhouse and a tiny retail greenhouse.
The most popular plants were annuals, which most costumers planted in flower beds. The greenhouse offered a small selection of perennials that first year and vegetables. Hanging baskets were just beginning to be popular.
The business grew and expanded every year for several years. It now boats ten greenhouses, two of which are retail greenhouses and the rest are growing greenhouses.

There have been many changes in gardening over the past 25 years. It is much more than flower beds and vegetable gardens. People have invested in ponds and water plants, xeriscaping, herb gardens, night gardens, succulents, and bee and butterfly gardens.

Prairie Greenhouse will be hosting a 25th anniversary customer appreciation day later in the spring.
