Fillmore auxiliary holds annual tea

Fillmore — The Fillmore Healthcare Auxiliary held their annual May Day tea and bazaar on May 12.

Community coordinator Linda Wilson, and Ava Dunham, on behalf of the activities department, both spoke. The winner of the raffled $100 bill was Sandra Donnelly of Stoughton, who promptly donated it back to the auxiliary.

Louise Ortman and Elaine Morris were winners of the afghans, made and donated by former Fillmore resident Stella Raczinski of Regina. The door prize, a hanging flower basket, was won by Andrea Thomson.

Jackie and Dane Treble have a daughter, Lennon Rose, born on Mother’s Day (May 13), weighing in at eight pounds 13 ounces. She is a granddaughter for Orley and Melvina Treble.

Allan Gavins returned home on May 15 after spending time in Vancouver with his ailing mother.

Vi Greig passed away on May 15 at age 81. Vi was raised at Fillmore, married and lived at Creelman, later in Regina then at the Fillmore Healthcare Centre, where she passed away. Her son Don and Darlene Greig live at Fillmore.
