Hallberg captures ninth Crocus title

Weyburn's Rick Hallberg captured his ninth Crocus title at the annual Crocus Men's Open held August 10 and 11 at the Weyburn Golf Club with 60 men competing.

Weyburn's Rick Hallberg captured his ninth Crocus title at the annual Crocus Men's Open held August 10 and 11 at the Weyburn Golf Club with 60 men competing. Full results were:

Men's Division: Championship Flight: Rick Hallberg - 139; Tanner White - 140 and Tyler Mryglod - 145.

First Flight: Carter Hilkewich - 148; Craig Robson - 149 and Brad Mryglod - 153.

Second Flight: Brad Wallin - 155; Jordan Johns - 156 and Bret Paquin - 156.

Third Flight: Mike Melanson - 161; Ray Colbow - 164 and Rod Muss - 165.

Fourth Flight: Brian Ruthven - 166; Jordan Ursa - 167 and Jon Neuberger - 175.

Senior Men's Division: Championship Flight: Don Sanders - 154; Jack Jones - 160 and Gary Plonka - 161.

First Flight: Darren Miller - 165; Blaine Frank - 167 and Orville Acton - 171.

The winner of the Horse Race competition was Doug McCaw.
